100 Days of School!!

On Monday, January 24th, GR celebrated their 100th day of school.  The Gladbrook Elementary recognized the day with several activities.  The kindergarten made 100 day t-shirts, the 1st grade made visors, and the 2nd grade made 100 day glasses.  In the afternoon the kids were divided into 3 groups where they made a 100 sign, wrote numbers to 100, and drew what their teachers would look like at 100 years old.  The final activity was counting out 100 balloons in the gym, then popping them to discover a "prize" inside!

Time to Celebrate

The 1st grade class has now passed 500 AR Tests.  WOW!!!  We will be discussing how we want to celebrate this accomplishment!

After several ideas, and a vote by the class.  The kids have chosen to have snack and watch a movie.  On Thursday, January 20, each child may bring their own snack and drink to have while we watch a movie.
